Idyllwild Fashion Show Fundraiser
This is one of our annual fundraising events that is held in the Fall. We have approximately 20 volunteers who are “models” and they wear fashionable clothing selected from our Thrift Store. These clothes and other clothing and accessories are for sale after the event. There also is a silent auction and a live auction.
This year the Fashion Show was held at Idyllwild Pines. Tickets to this event sell out fast because this is one of our most popular fundraisers and we always have a great time. Food and beverages are provided.
Members of the community can help us by volunteering to be a model, donating their time to assist with setup and/or take down, help by sponsoring this event, by buying a ticket or several tickets for your friends and joining us for a fun event.
For more information about this wonderful event, please call our Thrift Store at (951) 659-3000.
The Idyllwild HELP Center strives to bring together organizations that can assist not only our clients but also the whole community.
In 2015 flu vaccine inoculations were given to clients of the HELP Center and other Idyllwild residents.
Please call our office at (951) 659-2110 in October to find out the date of our next Health and Resource Fair.
Idyllwild Health and Resource Fair
Through funding from The California Wellness Foundation, the Idyllwild HELP Center presents a Health and Resource Community Fair here in Idyllwild.
In 2009, the Idyllwild HELP Center held its first annual Health and Resource Community Fair. Through efforts from Riverside County, Dr. Richard Goldberg, and several nurses, we were able to give flu inoculations to 200 community members. At the fair were 30 vendors representing health care organizations such as: Braille Institute, IEHP, Secure Horizons, Medic Alert Foundation, Naturopathic Health Care, Inc., First 5, Life Stream, and Health Care Options. Also present were several service organizations such as Mountain Communities Fire Safe Council, Idyllwild Water District, Community Pantry, Soroptimist International, California Telephone Access Program, Mile High Radio Club and Mountain Disaster Preparedness.
The UNEVENT is one of the HELP Center’s popular and innovative annual fundraisers.
In our ongoing attempt to have as many fundraisers a year as possible, and still not over saturate our valued supporters with too many events to attend, our Board of Directors initiated the idea of an UNEVENT.
We send a formal invitation out to our vast mailing list, inviting our supporters to attend our UNEVENT. They don’t have to go anywhere, they can stay home and relax and if they’d like, they can send a check in the enclosed addressed envelope to assist in supporting the HELP Center’s programs.
Our benefactors love this fundraiser and support it handsomely.
